  • Yes. We are working closely with Picnic in Thomas and Ish Kitchen to prepare a menu that considers allergies and dietary preferences. For lunch, we’ll pre-order from Picnic and have it delivered. For dinner, Ish Kitchen will prepare a menu that you’ll order from. Your meals and one drink will be included in your ticket price (excluding the shoot-only passes).

  • “not excluding any of the parties or groups involved in something.” Specifically in this case, it means to be welcoming to all sorts of relationships in the wedding industry regardless of gender, sexuality, size, color, etc.

  • Totally! Shoot #1 is a couple shoot at the Billy Motel. The models are male-presenting and androgynous. The vision is a vintage/grungy style shoot with tequila shots, tongue kisses, and inhibition to the wind. Wardrobe will be eclectic, use of flash, creativity, and outside-the-box posing is encourage.

Shoot #2 is an evening elopement in the forest near Blackwater Falls. The models are male-presenting and newlyweds. The color scheme is light and whimsical with that evening forest light for a touch of moodiness. Wardrobe is one burgundy suit and one light burgundy/pink suit. This shoot will also include an elopement picnic that will complement the feminine tones of the wardrobe and the deep tones of the forest.

Shoot #3 is a morning elopement in a field near Canaan Valley. Our goal for this shoot is to learn how to make magic in any environment, since we rarely have control over the locations our clients choose. Our models are female presenting. One will be wearing a white/cream wedding suit and the other will be wearing a wedding skirt with a sweater. Our florist will create a unique floral installment for the mock ceremony and attendees will be encourage to try more creative posing in a less-than-epic location.

Meet your workshop hosts

  • Videographer and Photographer - Lady Mountain Films

As a queer person, and after 6 full-time years in the wedding industry, I have a clear understanding on how to be an inclusive wedding vendor. I’m beyond excited to share with you. I’ll be leading one session on Inclusivity and available during all Q&A’s. Ask me anything about being an ally, video editing/shooting, story development, making your edits stand out, growing your business, what’s in my gear bag, etc.

  • Photographer- The Breiters

Michelle will be leading one session on updating your website and marketing language to attract and welcome all couples. She’ll be available for hands-on guidance to learn gender-neutral posing during all three shoots. During the Q&A’s ask her anything related to being an ally, photography, growing your business, SEO, marketing, and upping your prices.

You’ll likely see Tom around since he’ll be our workshop dad. Plus apparently the Breiters don’t have their own headshots.
